A large and well-balanced specimen featuring multiple generations and crystal habits of pyromorphite from a 2023 discovery in the Hunsrück region of Germany.

The piece shows two clearly distinct varieties of pyromorphite. One consists of long-prismatic, well formed grassgreen crystals with sharp terminations and a bright, fresh appearance. In Germany, localities such as Bad Ems are historically known for fine pyromorphite, particularly in green prismatic habits, making this occurrence geologically consistent within the broader German context.

The second generation displays barrel shaped, beige crystals that fluoresce orange under UV light.

This fluorescence indicates slight chemical variation within the crystal structure and adds mineralogical interest without disturbing the overall aesthetic harmony.

Both crystal types are positioned beside and on a quartz matrix. The quartz provides structural contrast and enhances the visibility of the different habits and colors. A representative and mineralogically interesting German pyromorphite specimen combining distinct crystal forms on a single piece.

Size: 18.4 x 9.3 x 5.7 cm

Locality: Longkamp, Hunsrück, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
