Exciting rarity from the Northwestern USA dating back to the 1950s: Geodes which were lined with slim realgar crystals were filled with agate. The brick-red lathed crystals partially altered to light yellow orpiment and gray-black, native arsenic, creating casts and clouds and webs but also minute crystals of arsenic are present. The agate displays beautiful streaks and light blue banding. Unfortunately, this formation is often advertised as stibnite in agate because of the look of gray prismatic crystals, which really diminishes its uniqueness. One-side polished.
