28 x Mandarine Garnet - Loliondo, Tanzania

These so-called mandarine garnets (spessartite) were found in the 2000‘s and bought on site from Jochen Hintze.

These are very special as they are particularly filled with hematite…I wondered even if they are psm of spessartine after hematite.

Of course they have got these gorgeous wonderful symmetrical crystal striations that are so typical of fine garnets.
